How to Activate and Renew Your Digital Extras

Pair your vehicle and activate Digital Extras right from the app.

The Mercedes-Benz App lets you pair your vehicle and activate Digital Extras like Remote Engine Start, Remote Door Lock & Unlock, Vehicle Locator and more, all on-the-go. Simply scan the QR code in the vehicle’s multimedia system, or enter your Vehicle Identification Number in the app to pair your vehicle.^{5 9} Then activate your Digital Extras in the settings in the Garage menu. If you need assistance, please contact our Customer Assistance Centre or your Mercedes-Benz dealer.

On-demand via the Mercedes-Benz Store

The Mercedes-Benz Store enables you to purchase digital on-demand upgrades for your vehicle or renew Mercedes-Benz Digital Extras after the complimentary trial. Simply log in with your existing Mercedes me ID, add the eligible products for your vehicle to the shopping basket and check out. Theft Notification and Parking Damage Detection

A smartphone notification informs you in real time should your vehicle be moved or disturbed. In addition, the Mercedes-Benz App shows the cause of the alarm as well as the level, place and time of the damage. When potential parking damage is detected, you will also see this information on the multimedia display when you enter the vehicle.⁸

The nearest charging station is easy to find with Mercedes me Charge.
The Mercedes me Charge charging network offers you extensive access to public charging stations. Link your Mercedes-Benz account to the provider to access the charging network. Locate a station in the MBUX multimedia system or using the Mercedes-Benz App. Start charging simply via MBUX in the vehicle, the Mercedes-Benz App or the Mercedes me Charge charging card. And the bill? This is issued automatically and centrally online, regardless of which providers you use.
Live traffic information

View live traffic information and optimized route guidance on your vehicle’s navigation.⁴
Car-to-X Communication

With Car-to-X Communication, information is exchanged between vehicles on the road, alerting you to various hazards up ahead, such as an accident, fog or icy conditions.⁴

Online Routing
Many ways lead to your destination. Your Mercedes-Benz knows the best wayto get there. For this purpose, the navigation system is provided with real-timetraffic data. Should road conditions change and a different route becomes a faster option, alternative routes will display directly in the Mercedes-Benz navigation system. You can choose a different route either by simply selectingin the navigation system or by driving directly along the new route in order to activate it in the system.
Satellite Images
To use the Satellite images, simply set the appropriate icon in the navigation settings. The Satellite view will then be superimposed on the standard navigation map. To explore new landscapes, towns or cities from above, you can also move around the map as you please.
Music Streaming

Thanks to Music Streaming, your favorite songs are now seamlessly integrated into your vehicle - stream directly via the MBUX multimedia system.¹¹

How do I get the Mercedes-Benz App?

To become a Mercedes-Benz App user, you must own a model year 2019 and newer Mercedes-Benz vehicle (excluding B-Class and smart) or a 2023 and newer Mercedes-Benz Sprinter Van. Connect Services such as Vehicle Status and the Mercedes-Benz emergency call system are lifetime services, while Connect+ Services, including Remote Engine Start and Remote Door Lock and Unlock are complimentary for one year for 2023 and newer vehicles.¹ You will need to download the Mercedes-Benz App to use these features.
How do I activate my Mercedes-Benz Digital Extras?

Your dealer will be happy to assist you with this at the time you purchase your vehicle. If you’ve already left the dealership, your connected vehicle Digital Extras can be activated and deactivated right from the Mercedes-Benz App. Simply download the app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, register and add your vehicle using the on-screen instructions, and then you will be able to activate your Digital Extras. If you need further assistance, your dealer will be happy to assist you.
Do I need a credit card to activate the Mercedes-Benz Digital Extras?

You do not have to provide a credit card to use the Mercedes-Benz App. Standard Connect services includes a wide range of safety and convenience features, while Connect+ services are complimentary for the first year starting with model year 2023. If you would like to renew your Digital Extras afterwards, you will need to provide a credit card for payment in the Mercedes-Benz Store.
What happens at the end of the Mercedes-Benz Digital Extras complimentary trial?

Most remote Digital Extras will stop functioning but your account remains open and active for non-expiring Digital Extras. You can view what is still active in the Mercedes-Benz App.
How do I extend or renew Mercedes-Benz Digital Extras like Remote Engine Start?

You can visit https://shop.mercedes-benz.com/en-ca /connect/ to view eligible Digital Extras (when logged in), add the Connect+ Services to your shopping basket and check out. The Digital Extra(s) will activate immediately once your vehicle has an active connection. Please note activation can take up to 48 hours depending on the coverage zone.
