New interior and technology inside the new Mercedes-Benz S-Class

The reimagined S-Class is an advancement in functionality that provides front and rear occupants with rich media options. It is all possible with the second-generation MBUX (Mercedes User Experience) which makes its debut in the S-Class. Rear occupants have access to up to three screens and can make their own adjustments using Interior Assist or voice control.

MBUX upgrades voice and safety features in the Mercedes-Benz S-Class
MBUX is widely known for its voice control capabilities. The Voice Assistant now accepts and processes even more dialogue. For example, “Hey Mercedes” can tell you the location of a point of interest you’re looking for on the road and tell you how to set up your smartphone to use Bluetooth. Enhanced technology also provides more security by combining fingerprint, face, and voice recognition to access vital settings and to perform sensitive operations such as payment processing.
MBUX now has the capability to network with even more vehicle systems and read more sensor data. The S-Class assesses camera data to determine if a passenger wants to leave the vehicle and the system determines a vehicle is approaching their blind spot, a warning occurs in the form of flashing red ambient lighting. MBUX’s ATTENTION ASSIST provides a warning after it senses that the driver’s attention level shows fatigue.
Other features of the S-Class’s upgraded technology include: media display in portrait format, MBUX capability for all passengers, screen content sharing, rear seat navigation control, more personalization, sharing of personal preferences, availability of up to seven profiles, and more.
